Santa Monica Portrait Photography: The Takaha’s | Pacific Palisades Park

We started off at Pacific Palisades Park for Gracie’s family portraits.  In fact, Gracie and Sean had their engagement photos taken here 5 years ago.  As the sun was setting, we decided to catch the last 30 minutes down at the beach.  Of course their son just wanted to play and not take pictures, but he wasn’t shy at all and we managed to get some very nice moments.  Here are my favorites from their portrait session.

Santa Monica Portrait Photography: The Takaha’s | Pacific Palisades Park | Sneak Preview

We had originally wanted to do Gracie’s family portraits a month ago in Ventura, but that day was incredibly windy.  It felt like we were in a hurricane.  Luckily, the weather was perfect for their session in Santa Monica.  Here’s a sneak preview.

Los Angeles Portrait Photography | PUG Headshot Exchange

A month ago, the Los Angeles PUG had a headshot exchange BBQ.  It was fun to shoot other photographers who are usually more comfortable behind the lens.  I didn’t need any new headshots so I was thankfully spared having to pose and model.  Here are my favorites of Joelle Leder, my friend and fellow photographer in Los Angeles.
