Orange County Portrait Photography: Jaimie’s Disneyland Birthday!

We originally planned to celebrate my friend Jaimie’s birthday at Disneyland last September, but one thing after another delayed it until this past weekend. I’m glad we kept her tradition going. This time, I decided to bring my camera.

I don’t remember the churros being to so good, but they were just perfect!

No tripod, so I braced my camera against a statue and set the shutter on bulb to catch the fireworks.

Our last ride every year is Splash Mountain so we try to do something silly and stupid for the camera. After 10 years, it was hard to come up with something we hadn’t done before, but we made this up at the last minute. I love it! Although I didn’t realize that I was crossing my eyes.

Pacific Palisades Portrait Photography: First Place Photo!

I feel like things are finally settling down now. I know it’s been almost 2 weeks since the Christmas holiday, but I feel like I’m finally back into the groove of things again. Lots of new changes on the horizon – a new blogsite with an integrated portfolio, a minor re-branding and some new product offerings. Plus, I have several weddings coming up with some great couples at gorgeous venues that I can’t wait to photograph.

2010 is going to be amazing, so to kick start the year’s first post, I wanted to share this photo from last year that recently won first place in the Admired By Beckstead photo contest. This image would be absolutely stunning as a large canvas gallery wrap.

San Francisco Portait Photography | Christmas with My Sister’s Family

Our annual Christmas trip up to northern California this year was much shorter than usual. After a 4 hour stop on Christmas Day at my wife’s sister’s place in Santa Cruz, we zipped up to my sisters place in the bay area just south of San Francisco for a day before heading right back to Ojai. My sister welcomed her sixth child this year. Yes, her sixth. That’s going to be it for them since they are seriously outnumbered, but there’s something really nice about the sound of all those children in their house.
