We originally planned to celebrate my friend Jaimie’s birthday at Disneyland last September, but one thing after another delayed it until this past weekend. I’m glad we kept her tradition going. This time, I decided to bring my camera.
I don’t remember the churros being to so good, but they were just perfect!
Jaimie and Thad taking a little break before we decided where to go next.
One of Thad’s favorite rides: Casey Jr. Circus Train.
From Frontierland or Mars?
Caught Jaimie mesmerized by lights![]()
No tripod, so I braced my camera against a statue and set the shutter on bulb to catch the fireworks.
Our last ride every year is Splash Mountain so we try to do something silly and stupid for the camera. After 10 years, it was hard to come up with something we hadn’t done before, but we made this up at the last minute. I love it! Although I didn’t realize that I was crossing my eyes.
So this past weekend was the centennial celebration of Nordoff High School here in Ojai. My wife graduated in 1984 so it was cool to see how things have changed through her eyes. We met up with several of her friends at the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser and then went to the football game between Nordoff’s Rangers and Villanova’s Wildcats. Sadly, the Wildcats were no match for the Rangers this year. Later that night, we all went to the “Dance for All Generations” at the gym where the DJ taught everyone “The Hustle” to “The Macarena”.
