When it comes to photographing kids, patience is the number quality a photographer must possess. My sister has 6 kids and doing a family portrait of the entire family at sunset required that in spades. Here’s the one that turned out nicely.

The Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove was the perfect setting for Tania and Ryan’s beautiful and elegant wedding over the weekend. Ryan looked like James Bond and Tania was absolutely stunning. More to come soon!

beautiful as always!
I’m a big advocate of getting an image right in-camera so that it doesn’t require a lot of work in post-processing. While most images require some basic adjustments to levels, curves, contrast, WB, etc., sometimes my vision for an image needs a little more enhancement than usual.
Here’s an example from a recent engagement portrait session up in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This also illustrates the importance of hiring the right photographer because the work doesn’t just start and end with the taking of the image. A good photographer has a vision and knows how to use the tools to make that vision come to life.
