It’s been busy lately. Right in the middle of tax season, I decided to change online proofing services. Although it’s taking more work to set up, I think in the long run, my clients will have a much better experience. And last weekend, I photographed my first wedding of 2009 at Casa Sirena at The Channel Island’s in Oxnard. It was a beautiful and moving wedding and I should have it posted soon.
In the meantime, I found out that I won 2nd place in David Beckstead’s recent photography contest. David is an amazing photographer so I was ecstatic to find out that my photo below from an engagement session impressed him so much.
David wrote, “When I look at this shot is feels like I am seeing something I have not seen before. It really is hard to describe: the flat depth (when I know it should feel more expanded), the unusual color scheme, the dark jungle story, the strange lines, and more. Almost as if it should be in a 3D pop-up children’s book. Let’s just say I love the whole overall look!!”
